Fixed Fees
Quoted fees for court hearings are for one court appearance, maximum one day. Extra hearings are charged separately. Conferences and preparation work are charged separately. All fees and charges are payable in advance. We do not do work on legal aid. We are London-based and may charge an additional amount to cover travel and overnight accommodation where this is necessary. The fees below are for Magistrates’ Courts and appeals to the Crown Court. Jury trials in the Crown Court are subject to negotiation. Fees for work outside the list below are negotiable. Fees charged by expert witnesses are additional to our fees.
Fees for types of hearing:
1st appearance guilty plea and mitigation – Magistrates’ Court

Not guilty trial – Magistrates’ Court
£2750 plus VAT
Application to save licence on 12 points (totting up) – Magistrates’ Court
£2250 plus VAT
Special Reasons application – Magistrates’ Court
£2500 plus VAT
Appeal from the Magistrates’ to the Crown Court
Guilty plea – £2500 plus VAT
Trial – £3000 plus VAT

Work and fees will be agreed in advance and confirmed in a formal Client Care Letter. Instructions are accepted on signature of the Client Care Letter and payment of the fees upfront.

Additional costs
- Reports and court appearance by expert witness.
- Preparation of Bill for Costs if you win your case and wish to apply for costs.
We do expect our clients to assist us fully. For example, we expect you to provide all relevant documentation in easily accessible format. Where unnecessary work is caused by failure to assist us we reserve the right to raise an additional charge.
Exceptionally if a case is particularly complex or time-consuming we reserve the right to quote an individual fee based on time spent. Where this occurs we will give an estimate of likely costs and regularly update you on what the case is costing you.
Our hourly rate is £350 plus Vat
Court and Prosecution Costs
- If you lose your case you will have to pay prosecution costs and Victim Surcharge in addition to any fine.
